The National Exchange Club Mission, Vision, Values, and Motto Founded in 1911, the National Exchange Club is the United States’ oldest service organization devoted exclusively to serving American communities. With hundreds of local Exchange Clubs nationwide, Exchange brings together committed civic leaders who believe that service, unity, and leadership at the local level build a stronger nation. Our Mission Exchange inspires communities to become better places to live. Through meaningful service, civic engagement, and volunteer leadership, Exchange Clubs work hands-on to address local needs while advancing national priorities.
Our Vision A strong America, safe communities, and unified people. Exchange envisions a nation where communities thrive, families are supported, and people work together in unity to create lasting positive change.
Our Core Values The work of Exchange is guided by three enduring values:
Family – Strengthening and supporting families by promoting healthy relationships and protecting children, including a national commitment to the prevention of child abuse.
Community – Improving quality of life through service, volunteerism, and civic responsibility at the local level.
Country – Fostering patriotism, respect for American freedoms, and appreciation for those who serve our nation.
Our Motto Unity for Service Adopted in 1917, Exchange’s motto reflects the belief that when people come together with a shared purpose, collective action can achieve far greater impact than individuals working alone.
Living the Exchange Mission Local Exchange Clubs across America put these principles into action through national Programs of Service—Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs—as well as the National Project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. While each club responds to the unique needs of its community, all are united by the same mission, vision, values, and commitment to service. Together, Exchange members are building stronger communities, supporting families, and helping create a safer, more unified America—one community at a time.
Meetings and Community Involvement Meetings of the Erie-Niagara Sunrise Exchange Club are held at the Olympic Family Restaurant, located at 1601 Military Road, Kenmore, each Wednesday from 8am-9a where members gather to plan service projects, discuss community needs, and coordinate activities that benefit the community. Residents interested in learning more about the club or participating in local service efforts are encouraged to connect with the organization and become involved.
